Willow's Lodge is your home away from home!

About Us

no. 16 Lamont Lodges,
Near Dunoon,
Argyll PA23 8QT

Welcome to our lodge, we have created a restful retreat that you can think of as your home away from home while you’re in the area.

We stayed on this site for a number of years, before buying Number 16 empty and unfurnished, and refurbishing it throughout. We've always loved bringing our dogs to the area, at any time of year, and we wanted to provide a property where well behaved dogs could be accommodated.  We also wanted a property which was spacious and cosy enough to be enjoyable on those days when the weather makes it preferable to stay indoors for a while.
We like this site, because it's quiet, within the National Park, and so close to the forest.
There is a variety of walks, in different directions, without the need to get in the car.
We also like the location of the site, as a base for exploring the Cowal area.

Our three bedroom wooden lodge stands on a small exclusive site, with only 18 lodges, on the edge of the Argyll Forest Park at the south end of the beautiful Loch Eck and conveniently close to the famous Benmore Botanic Gardens.

The lodge has accommodation for 6 is ideally suited for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits such as rambling, hill walking, cycling, kayaking etc. or for those who wish to just get away from it all and relax.

The site backs onto one of the most stunning forest walks in this area 'pucks glen'.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the lodge or decking areas.  This is out of consideration for other guests, and is a necessary condition under the terms of our insurance.

We welcome children and well behaved dogs.

The walks nearby are perfect for walking with or without dogs and fishing permits can be bought for the lochs and rivers.

Dunoon itself is a small town set in the beautiful Cowal Peninsula of Argyll and yet within just over an hours commuting distance to the centre of Glasgow. Argyll Ferries run an hourly passenger ferry service to Gourock connecting with trains to Glasgow Central. Western Ferries run a more frequent vehicle and passenger service from nearby Hunters Quay to McInroys Point with Citylink bus connections to Buchanan Street bus station, Glasgow. Dunoon is approximately one hour from Glasgow Airport. Dunoon offers a secondary school, a modern leisure centre, an eighteen hole golf course, two supermarkets, a variety of individual shops, restaurants and a cinema.
